Tilt-A-Swirl Hydrangea is a whimsical mix of red and green bicolor blooms that change into new variations from spring through fall, providing months of fun. Blooms finish with an antiqued look. This variety grows in a low mounding form and is considered a mild rebloomer, producing some of its flowers on new wood as well as on old growth from the previous season. The flowers are bred to be tougher than other hydrangeas on the market. Tilt-A-Swirl is easy to grow and care for. For best results, give it a location that gets morning sun and afternoon shade. Perfect as a feature, in groups of three or more, or on the patio in a decorative pot.
- Zones 5 to 8, can handle temperatures down to minus 20F
- Part sun, or 3-hours to 4-hours of sun per day, morning sun preferred with filtered sun the rest of the day
- 3 ft. 4 ft. tall and wide, mounding
- Green and red bicolor mophead style blooms start in May and transform into various colour combinations into the fall
- Water once per week, and more often when it’s hot – wilting or curling leaves are a clear sign of dehydration
- Shrubs shipped from November thru March will arrive dormant (may not have foliage); shrubs shipped April thru October will arrive green or in bloom
